Getting in Shape for Summer

In my experience, the most awkward time of the year is the transitional period between winter and summer: spring. During my years living in the Northeast, I always felt like I was emerging from hibernation at the end of every cold season, planning my strategy to get back in better shape in time for swimsuit season. Living down in south Florida, however, has erased the transitions between seasons as there’s only one season, perennial summer, but there are fitness interests and goals that I have every year in time for even hotter summer months.

The perfect spring weather is my ideal time to get moving more. I make it a point to ditch my car and instead walk wherever possible, exercise outdoors, and just spend more time on the beach to unwind and recharge, while breathing in the fresh air.
