Having a Fun and Healthy Spring Break

Having an April birthday means one thing: I find myself celebrating it smack in the middle of when many people are on Spring Break. This also means that I tend to take time off and enjoy a mini vacation. Everyone should consider taking time off for their birthday (when possible). It’s the perfect time to celebrate you! But just because I take some time off from work, it doesn’t mean that I also take time off from my health. Here are some ways that I make sure to have a fun, festive, and still healthy spring break.

Stay hydrated

I know heat is not a problem for most part of the country, but here in the south, it can get quite hot. This is a great reminder for us to remember to drink more water. But for those who live in parts of the country still not warm yet, it’s still important to make sure you are staying hydrated. Water is important for our overall health, having great skin, and even feeling energized throughout the day. And of course, if you are having fun on a mini vacation and enjoying spring break, this is equally important. It’s easy to forget to drink water when you are having fun, but take your water bottle with you on-the-go, and fill it up as often as you can during the day. Always have healthy snacks on the go

Enjoying spring break is about having fun and that includes indulging in delicious foods. That’s just part of going on a mini vacation: Saying temporarily goodbye to your routine. But it’s important to still properly nourish the body to help you enjoy your days off. Nobody wants to not unwell during those precious vacation days. Take healthy snacks with you on the go to give you energy for your day adventures. Have fun and use the right protection

When I say protection, I mean protecting your skin from the sun, naturally! I love the sun and enjoy being outdoors as much as I can. It’s a great way to obtain vitamin D, give your mood a nice boost, and it can even help give your skin a nice glow. But we can’t forget to apply a little sunscreen to have fun in the sun safely.
