3 Easy and Delicious Ways to Enjoy the Benefits of Turmeric

Turmeric is one of those spices that’s impossible to miss. This spice has been in the spotlight for the past couple of years because of its incredible nutrient content. Not only does it have a beautiful, vibrant yellow/orange color, but it also has a characteristic flavor and fragrance. What gives turmeric its lovely color is one of the compounds also responsible for its benefits known as curcumin. This compound provides an impressive anti-inflammatory support, and because of this, we can see turmeric being used as a natural support for concerns heavily tied to inflammation. Some of these include arthritis, inflammation in the gut, heart health support, and even neurodegenerative conditions.

Turmeric is frequently used in cooking to enhance flavor, it makes a great natural yellow dye, and is a key ingredient in making curry. But the options are endless when it comes to using this spice in the kitchen. Some great ways to explore with turmeric include making an egg salad, yellow rice, lentils, salad dressings, soups, smoothies. Well, you get the idea!
