DIY All-Natural Moisturizing Shampoo

Natural_Shampoo_2

Finding a great moisturizing shampoo can be hard. Especially since not everyone has the same hair type. Now to find one that’s free of chemicals and will still do the job? That’s even more difficult. Lucky for me though, I love experimenting and creating my own DIY projects.

I came across one particular DIY shampoo that caught my eye, so I took and tailored it to my own needs. I was trying to come up with one that will not only moisturize my damaged hair, but that will also cleanse as well.

What I love most is that all the ingredients in this shampoo are natural. I don’t have to worry about putting something on my scalp that’s full of harsh ingredients. Plus, it’s great for the whole family.

Ingredients:

• ½ cup distilled water
• ¼ cup liquid castile soap
• 2 tsp. avocado oil
• 2 tsp. jojoba oil
• 5 drops tea tree oil
• 15 drops lavender oil
• 1 tsp. vegetable glycerin* (optional)

Directions:

Pour all ingredients into a clean empty bottle and shake well before using.

*Note: Vegetable glycerin is optional if you would like to add more body to the shampoo.
