Did you know that thirst is often confused for hunger or cravings?
Although we already talked about drinking water as a way of helping control our cravings, there’s so much more to it that ‘the benefits of drinking water’ deserves special attention. Staying properly hydrated really benefits the body in many ways, including giving an energy boost, promoting weight loss, maintaining healthy digestion, and my personal favorite, it does wonders for the skin! Wanna talk about natural anti-aging strategies? Drink up!
How much water do I need in a day?
To have an idea of how much water you should be drinking in a day, divide your weight (in pounds) by 2. This is an easy and fast way to get a rough estimate of how many ounces of water you should be trying to drink in a day. A person that weighs 160 pounds should be having about 80 ounces of water. Since each cup has 8 ounces, that comes out to drinking about 10 cups per day. This may initially sound like 5 cups too many, especially if you are not really used to drinking much water, but there are ways of making it painless. A really good strategy is keeping a big bottle of water next to you at all times, that way you won’t forget about taking sips throughout the day.
We understand that some people are not huge fans of water and if this is your case, we have some good news. By now you’ve seen the infused water trend that’s been going on for a while. Here are some lovely combinations that are sure to bring delightful flavors to your water!
