Those that have been part of the sugar crush team since day 1 have probably noticed that the first week was the hardest and that foods with less sugar just didn’t seem to taste that great. But by weeks 2 and 3, your taste buds probably started adapting, and that strong craving for the insanely sweet things in life might have died down slowly without you even noticing.
But what happens when you are at day 22 of the challenge and other factors or situations push you into wanting to give up all your hard work and give into the sweet treats? Everyone has days of wanting to fall back into old ways while searching for comfort. For these days, find strength within and always remember that you already went through the worst…
Here are some things you can do to crush your cravings before they get to you:
1. Always keep H.A.L.T. in mind
- Hungry? Take a lunch break
- Angry? Clear your head by going for a walk
- Lonely? Call a friend
- Tired? Take a 10 minute break
2. Drink water
3. Brush your teeth
4. Have your favorite calming tea blend
5. Keep in an easy-to-reach place your favorite healthy snacks
